Montagu's Harrier dark morph

Once thought of as being melanistic, the dark morph Montagu's Harrier is a rare variant, this colour probably determined by a recessive gene. The dark morph birds are seemingly perfectly well accepted by other, normal-coloured birds, despite their obvious difference.
